Softball Recap: North Cobb Christian Falls to North Cobb in First Game of Season

North Cobb Christian had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Cobb Warriors on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 11-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Ellie Mitchell made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Molly Edwards was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

North Cobb has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Cobb Christian will host King's Ridge Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for North Cobb, they will take on River Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
