            Volleyball Recap: Milpitas Trojans vs. Independence 76ers        
        
		
        
        
            
Milpitas had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Independence 76ers as they made off with  a  3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played  back in October of 2023.
 Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Milpitas took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-10,  25-15.
Milpitas can attribute much of their success to  Amy Liang, who  had nine  digs and three assists. That's the most  digs  Liang has posted since back in October of 2024.  Inaaya Dominguez also deserves some recognition as  she  posted her first  assist of the season.

 Milpitas  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 12  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least five  aces in eight consecutive  contests.
Milpitas' victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Independence, their defeat was  their third straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 1-14.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milpitas will take on King's Academy at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Independence, they will head out to  challenge Live Oak  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
