Volleyball Recap: Sherwood Christian Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Sherwood Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Colquitt County Packers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Packers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 last Thursday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Sherwood Christian Academy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-11, 22-25, 15-9.

Colquitt County was led to victory by Kaylee Diaz and Rynn Kinsey. Diaz had 14 digs, while Kinsey had seven digs and four assists. Aubrey Wilson also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Sherwood Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Colquitt County, their win bumped their record up to 9-18.

Sherwood Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Memorial Day on the 27th. As for Colquitt County, they will square off against Valdosta at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
