Softball Recap: Arapahoe Comes Up Short

Arapahoe had lost four straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped down to 12-11 to make it five. They came up short against the Pine Creek Eagles, falling 12-2. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.

Arapahoe saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mackenzie Clinton, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

As for Pine Creek, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-3. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 15 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

On Pine Creek's side, Kyleigh Croyle made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Croyle was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Abigail *Abby* Stenerson was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brayden Dailey, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

As of now, neither Arapahoe nor Pine Creek have any future games scheduled.
