Highland is 9-1 against Eastside since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Highland Bulldogs will head out to take on the Eastside Lions at 5:00 p.m. Highland will be strutting in after a win while Eastside will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Highland beat Littlerock 38-33. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Lobos are ranked 1073rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Eastside has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 62-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Antelope Valley on Thursday.

Highland is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-12 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.2 points per game. As for Eastside, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.

Highland was able to grind out a solid victory over Eastside in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 52-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Highland since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
