Baseball Game Preview: Bloom Blazing Trojan vs. Kankakee Kays

For the second straight game, Bloom will face off against Kankakee. The Blazing Trojan will head out to face off against the Kays at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bloom has six straight victories, Kankakee has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Bloom and Kankakee had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Blazing Trojan walked away with a 7-2 win over the Kays on Wednesday. The game was the first time the Blazing Trojan have beaten the Kays on their field since May 11, 2023.

For Kankakee's part, Devin Arbour made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Kankakee's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Bloom, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
