Softball Recap: Jackson County Victorious

Jackson County had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Hart County on Thursday. The Panthers never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Emery Schiffmann made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Schiffmann was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryleigh O'Brien, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Miabella Lee, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Jackson County's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Jackson County is taking a road trip to face off against North Hall at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hart County, they will challenge Woodland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
