Softball Recap: Pius X Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lincoln Southeast on Friday, Pius X came back down to earth. The Thunderbolts came up short against the Papillion-LaVista Monarchs on Friday, falling 16-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Thunderbolts in their meetings with the Monarchs: they've now lost three in a row.

Pius X saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kendal Heimes, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Pius X's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Papillion-LaVista, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Pius X wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 10-0 defeat against Northwest on the 29th. As for Papillion-LaVista, they have also already played their next contest, a 12-2 win against Lincoln Southeast on the 29th.
