Softball Recap: Pius X Takes a Loss

After soaring to 16 runs the game before, Pius X was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They lost 16-2 to the Papillion-LaVista Monarchs. If the Thunderbolts were looking for revenge after losing 8-4 to the Monarchs when the teams met back in September of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Pius X saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macy Charf, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Pius X's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Papillion-LaVista, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Pius X has already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against Northwest on the 29th. As for Papillion-LaVista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Lincoln Southeast on the 29th.
