Soccer Game Preview: St. Helena vs. Cloverdale

The St. Helena Saints will challenge the Cloverdale Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Helena's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

St. Helena fell victim to Sonoma Academy and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Coyotes, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 868th, while the Coyotes are ranked 167th).

Meanwhile, Cloverdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Roseland University Prep.

Cloverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-1. As for St. Helena, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8-5.
