Softball Recap: Holt Takes a Loss

Holt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 16-6 to the Fort Zumwalt North Panthers. The Indians were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Laney Thompson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season.

Holt now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Fort Zumwalt North, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record.

Coincidentally, Holt and Fort Zumwalt North will both be playing St. Charles the next time they take the field. The Panthers will head out to face the Pirates at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, while the Indians will host them at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
