Softball Recap: North Atlanta Takes a Loss

North Atlanta extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 7-23. They came up short against the Lambert Longhorns, falling 14-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, with their most recent loss being a 8-0 defeat on Tuesday.

As for Lambert, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games.

For Lambert's part, Sophie Hill and Paige Wentworth did most of the damage at the plate: Hill went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double, while Wentworth went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and three RBI. Those three hits gave Hill a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Yi, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

As of now, neither North Atlanta nor Lambert have any future games scheduled.
