Baseball Game Preview: St. Francis Knights vs. Mount Paran Christian Eagles

St. Francis is 2-8 against Mount Paran Christian since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The St. Francis Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Mount Paran Christian Eagles at 5:55 p.m. St. Francis has given up an average of 9.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

St. Francis is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They lost 12-0 to Whitefield Academy.

Meanwhile, Mount Paran Christian came tearing into Monday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Paladins get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. Considering the Eagles have won five games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Mount Paran Christian's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7 runs. As for St. Francis, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

St. Francis might still be hurting after the 14-0 loss they got from Mount Paran Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2021. Can St. Francis avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
