Grove City was the 40-37 winner over Slippery Rock when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Grove City Eagles fell to the Slippery Rock Rockets 50-44. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Slippery Rock was led to victory by Cj Sabo and Madison Romanovich. Sabo went 9 of 17 on her way to 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Romanovich posted 19 points in addition to five boards and four steals. The matchup was Sabo's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brielle Jordan, who put up seven points.

Grove City's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Slippery Rock, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.

Grove City will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Hickory at 7:00 p.m. Hickory will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Grove City surely won't give up without a fight. As for Slippery Rock, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 37-31 win against Greenville on the 27th.
