Olpe dropped down to 4-2 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost to the Rossville Bulldogs at home by a 36-22 margin. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 28-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Olpe lost, don't look at Brayden Lienemann. Despite the final result, he rushed for 24 yards and one score, and also threw for 46 yards and one touchdown.

As for Rossville, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 47.7 points this season.

Canann Mitchell was his usual excellent self, rushing for 151 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 81-yard run. Conner Bush also helped out as he racked up 101 rushing yards.

Looking ahead, Olpe will venture away from home to face off against Cair Paravel at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Rossville, they will welcome Wabaunsee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Chargers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
