Marshall is 9-1 against El Monte since January of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Eagles will head out to square off against the Lions at 3:30 p.m. Marshall will be strutting in after a victory while El Monte will be coming in after a defeat.

While Marshall's win against Rosemead wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles won by a goal and slipped past the Panthers 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Marshall.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 2-2 at halftime, El Monte was not quite Arroyo's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-2.

Marshall's victory bumped their record up to 6-3-1. As for El Monte, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-1 record this season.

Marshall beat El Monte by a goal in their previous matchup back in December of 2025, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
