Baseball Recap: Woodland Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cass last Friday, Woodland came back down to earth. The Wildcats lost 11-3 to the Allatoona Buccaneers on Tuesday.

Woodland has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-13 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Allatoona, the win was the 17th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-3.

While Woodland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
