Soccer Recap: Poly Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Poly has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rancho Verde Mustangs. Poly were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rancho Verde apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2018.

Poly's goal came courtesy of Zoe Soriano, who's now up to three this season.

Poly's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Rancho Verde, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1-2.

Poly didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Vista Murrieta on the 19th. As for Rancho Verde, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against King on the 19th.
