Soccer Game Preview: Monroe vs. North Hollywood

Monroe hasn't had much luck against North Hollywood recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Monroe Vikings will be playing at home against the North Hollywood Huskies at 4:00 p.m.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Monroe turned things around against Chavez on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles, sneaking past 3-2.

Monroe hit Chavez with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Daisy Gutierrez, Vanessa Cuellar, and Ashley Cruz.

Meanwhile, North Hollywood hasn't lost a match since December 11, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Saturday. Neither they nor Verdugo Hills could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The Huskies' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

North Hollywood's draw gives them a new season record of 5-5-1. As for Monroe, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7-3.
