Basketball Preview: Cupertino Pioneers vs. Del Mar Dons

They were dealt a 50-18 loss at the hands of Valley Christian. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Pioneers have suffered since January 19th.
Meanwhile, a win for Del Mar just wasn't in the cards on Thursday as the squad wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They came up short against Monta Vista, falling 58-32.
Del Mar might have lost, but man, Zoey Hinkle was a machine: she dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. The matchup was Hinkle's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianna Fuentes, who had seven points.
Del Mar's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Cupertino, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
