Football Recap: Hiram Takes a Loss

Hiram was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cass Colonels. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Colonels apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Hiram lost, don't look at Dylan Maina. Despite the final result, he rushed for 88 yards and one TD on only 12 carries.

Hiram's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Cass, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hiram will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dalton at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th. As for Cass, they will welcome Cedartown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
