Basketball Recap: Thales Academy Apex Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Thales Academy Apex extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Wednesday, dropping them down to 0-5. They were dealt a 92-19 loss at the hands of the GRACE Christian Eagles. The Titans lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 71-39 score last time.

Despite the loss, Thales Academy Apex still got an impressive performance from Zach Lehman, who posted nine points.

As for GRACE Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Braylen McRae was a one-man wrecking crew as he went 10-for-17 en route to 23 points and six steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 16.7 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Gideon Anum, who shot 75% from the field to rack up 15 points and four steals.

Thales Academy Apex wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 66-37 defeat against Cary Christian on the 20th. As for GRACE Christian, they will challenge St. Thomas More Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
