Recap: Kensington KENSINGTON TIGER vs. Masterman
The Kensington KENSINGTON TIGER were the 41-9 winner over Masterman when they last played one another back in February of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Kensington suffered a rough 48-24 defeat at the hands of Masterman on Monday. While losing is never fun, Kensington can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 464th, while Masterman is ranked 66th).
Masterman was led to victory by Jocelyn Goldstein and Sophia Brunelli. Goldstein scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Brunelli scored 19 points along with eight steals and three blocks. The match was Goldstein's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Hannah Sollie, who scored six points.
Kensington are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.0 points per game. As for Masterman, their win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0.
Kensington will take on Prep Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Masterman, they will head out on the road to face off against Motivation at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
