Preview: Central Dauphin Rams vs. Palmyra Cougars
The Central Dauphin Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Palmyra Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Central Dauphin is looking to tack on another W to their 11-game streak on the road.
Last Monday, Central Dauphin didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Cumberland Valley, but they still walked away with a 37-32 victory. Given Central Dauphin's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Cumberland Valley is ranked 339th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Palmyra beat Milton Hershey 46-40 on Tuesday.
Central Dauphin is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. As for Palmyra, their win bumped their record up to 15-5.
Everything came up roses for Central Dauphin against Palmyra in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 43-14 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central Dauphin since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
