The South O'Brien Wolverines are taking a road trip to square off against the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on South O'Brien, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, South O'Brien made easy work of Harris-Lake Park and carried off a 13-5 victory. That's two games straight that the Wolverines have won by exactly eight runs.

Meanwhile, Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union came up short against Sioux Central on Tuesday, falling 17-9. The defeat continues a trend for the Royals in their meetings with the Rebels: they've now lost six in a row.

The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.
