Recap: Cypress Centurions vs. Tustin Tillers
The Cypress Centurions were the 72-43 winner over the Tustin Tillers when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Cypress fell 44-32 to Tustin on Friday.
Cypress lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lauryn Nakamura, who scored 13 points along with five steals. Jamie Ponteres was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Cypress has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Tustin, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cypress will challenge Valencia at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Tustin will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Kennedy at 6:15 p.m. on January 9th. Kennedy is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
