Football Game Preview: Upland Highlanders/Scots vs. St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors + Official Tickets

The Upland Highlanders/Scots will take on the St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Upland is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 42-21 margin over Los Altos. The Highlanders/Scots' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Upland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lequand (Jack Jack) Jackson, who threw for 181 yards and three touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 48 yards and one score. Those three passing touchdowns gave (Jack Jack) Jackson a new career-high. Upland's leading receiver Jerome Smith (Spanky) was (Jack Jack) Jackson's top target yet again, picking up 109 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Upland, adding 12 points to the final score. All those points came courtesy of Jackson Hauducoeur: he added nine points with three field goals and another three kicking extra points.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Upland's defense and their three sacks. Leading the way was Aiden Davis with two.

Meanwhile, St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy blew past Alta Loma, posting a 35-6 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Upland, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8.
