Mammoth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 50-12 defeat at the hands of the Lone Pine Golden Eagles. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Esme Carrillo, who posted four points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Carrillo has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Evelyn Suaza, who earned four points.
Mammoth's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Lone Pine, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-7.
Mammoth has already played their next game, a 67-19 defeat against Desert on the 10th. Lone Pine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
