Calvary Christian Academy surges to No. 4 in national rankings after strong showing at Montverde Academy Invitational Tournament.

Four of the top five teams in the MaxPreps Top 25 high school basketball rankings wrapped up regular season play last week as all attention shifts to the ultimate prize for Columbus (Miami, Fla.), Harvard-Westlake (Studio City, Calif.), Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and Hoover (Ala.).

Calvary Christian Academy benefited from a strong showing at the Montverde Academy Invitational, knocking off a pair of National Top 10 opponents to bolster its resume. The Eagles jumped three spots to No. 4 this week.

Unbeaten University of Detroit Jesuit (Detroit) is the only new entry in this week's rankings, joining St. Mary's Prep (Orchard Lake) as the only Michigan teams to crack the MaxPreps Top 25 this season.

A showdown between No. 11 John Marshall (Richmond, Va.) and National Top 10 No. 6 Long Island Lutheran (Brookville, N.Y.) headlines the action this week. Postseason events like the Mission League Tournament highlighted by No. 2 Harvard-Westlake and the Chicago Public League Playoffs featuring No. 24 Kenwood (Chicago, Ill.) are also of note.
