Baseball Recap: Model Makes It Ten in a Row at Home

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Model ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Pepperell Dragons 8-7. For the Blue Devils, this counts as revenge for the 6-2 win the Dragons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Model's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Pepperell, with the defeat, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-6.

Model will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Dragons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
