Softball Recap: North Platte Wins Going Away Against Highway 6

North Platte saw some tournament action on Saturday. They blew past the Highway 6 Trailblazers 12-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

North Platte got a massive performance out of Lauren Bowers, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Bowers continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Danaka Jedrzejczyk was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

North Platte always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

North Platte's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Highway 6, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

North Platte has already played their next contest, a 12-1 win against McCook on the 6th. As for Highway 6, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-4 defeat against Gothenburg on the 6th.
