Baseball Game Preview: Glascock County Panthers vs. Jefferson County Warriors

Glascock County hasn't had much luck against Jefferson County recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Panthers will head out to square off against the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Monday, Glascock County came up short against Briarwood Academy and fell 8-3.

Meanwhile, Jefferson County came up short against Northeast on Wednesday, falling 21-13.

Camden Dukes was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Mason Tungate, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.

Glascock County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Jefferson County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Glascock County couldn't quite get it done against Jefferson County when the teams last played back in March as they fell 12-9. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
