Softball Recap: Lyons Comes Up Short

Lyons and Eaton squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Lyons had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Reds by a score of 4-3. The Lions have struggled against the Reds recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Ava Vasquez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Greta Hildebrand, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Lyons' defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Eaton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season.

Lyons does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eaton, they have already played their next contest, an 8-2 win against Brush on the 25th.
