Baseball Game Preview: Bellevue Redmen vs. Genoa Area Comets

The Bellevue Redmen will face off against the Genoa Area Comets at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Genoa Area took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Bellevue, who comes in off a win.

Bellevue will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Norwalk, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Redmen had just enough and edged out the Truckers 3-2 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Genoa Area didn't have quite enough to beat Elmwood on Saturday and fell 14-13. The Comets have struggled against the Royals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Bellevue has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Genoa Area, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.

Bellevue came out on top in a nail-biter against Genoa Area in their previous meeting back in April of 2018, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Redmen repeat their success, or do the Comets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
