Soccer Game Preview: Beaver Local vs. Salem

The Beaver Local Beavers will head out on the road to challenge the Salem Quakers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Beaver Local's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Saturday, Beaver Local and Sandy Valley finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Salem). They blew past McKinley 13-0 on Saturday. Considering Salem have won seven matches by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Salem's win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 10-3-2. With that draw, Beaver Local's record moves to 9-4-2.

Everything went Beaver Local's way against Salem when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Beaver Local made off with a 4-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Beavers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
