Football Game Preview: Prairie View Buffalos vs. Humboldt Cubs

The Prairie View Buffalos will head out to take on the Humboldt Cubs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Prairie View will be strutting in after a victory while Humboldt will be coming in after a loss.

Prairie View is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Burlington: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Buffalos blew the Wildcats out of the water with a 48-13 final score. The win continues a trend for the Buffalos in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Humboldt played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 34-6 defeat at the hands of Eureka. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, the Cubs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Humboldt's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Prairie View, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Prairie View came up short against Humboldt in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 46-35. Can the Buffalos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
