Basketball Recap: Oceanside Gets the Win

Oceanside barely beat Olympian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pirates put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 55-31 win on Monday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Pirates considering their 25-point performance the contest before.

Olympian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Gabriella Abalos, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Lewis, who put up four points and six assists.

Oceanside's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Olympian, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
