Football Recap: Alexander Starts Season with Victory Against Marshall

Alexander gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They blew past the Marshall Rams, posting a 48-14 victory. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 48-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rams cut but never quite recovered from.

Karlo Tenorio went supernova, throwing for 182 yards and three TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 42 yards and one score. Gael Rubio was in the mix as well, providing Alexander with two touchdowns.

Alexander's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB seven times. Charlie Uribe led the group effort, picking up three of those sacks all by himself.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alexander will welcome Gregory-Portland at 7:30 p.m. on the 5th. As for Marshall, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Flour Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on the 5th.
