Soccer Game Preview: Rolling Meadows vs. Leyden

The Rolling Meadows Mustangs will head out to challenge the Leyden Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

Rolling Meadows is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They skirted past Willowbrook 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for Rolling Meadows.

They hit Willowbrook with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emanuil Myrtollari, Tommy Jackman, and Konrad Tomczyk.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Leyden faced off against Wheaton North on Thursday. The Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Falcons, sneaking past 3-2. Given Leyden's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked seventh, while Wheaton North are ranked 169th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leyden's victory bumped their record up to 17-3-1. As for Rolling Meadows, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-11-4.
