Baseball Recap: Three Straight Home Wins for Grace Christian Academy

Grace Christian Academy extended their postseason success on Saturday against Robert Toombs Christian Academy. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Crusaders. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Aiden Whittaker made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two hits in 12 consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Daniel Johnson was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Noah Smith was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Grace Christian Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Robert Toombs Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-11.

Coming up, Grace Christian Academy will take on Vidalia Heritage Academy on Friday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. Robert Toombs Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
