Softball Recap: Jay Comes Up Short

Jay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They came up short against the Grove Ridgerunners, falling 12-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ridgerunners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-4 back in August.

Jay saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zariah Kingfisher, who went 1-for-2 with one run. Jordan Youngpuppy also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Jay's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Grove, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jay will face off against Ketchum at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Grove, they will venture away from home to square off against Bishop Kelley at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
