Volleyball Recap: Kokomo Takes a Loss

After flying high against Tipton last Thursday, Kokomo came back down to earth. The Wildkats lost 3-0 to the Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos on Tuesday. The Wildkats have struggled against the Bronchos recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

While Kokomo was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-21, 16-14.

Lafayette Jefferson was led to victory by Rilee Clifton and Jaeleah Thorpe. Clifton had 14 digs and three aces, while Thorpe had eight assists and four digs. That's the most aces Clifton has posted over her last seven contests.

Kokomo's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Lafayette Jefferson, they pushed their record up to 5-13 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Kokomo and Lafayette Jefferson will both be playing Harrison the next time they take the court. The Bronchos will host the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wildkats will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
