McEachern put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Hiram Hornets 8-1. Considering the Indians have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Joseph Allen looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, Malachi Butler was a standout: he scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. He also put up a triple, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Tyce Williams, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

McEachern pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Hiram, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Coming up, McEachern will head out to take on Kennesaw Mountain at 5:55 p.m. on Monday. As for Hiram, they will take on Southeast Whitfield County at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday.
