Recap: Frontier Titans vs. Independence Falcons
The Frontier Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 24 points or more this season. They breezed by Independence at home to the tune of 60-28. With Frontier ahead 36-9 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Frontier was led to victory by Alexis Tinnin and Sage Sebastian. Tinnin dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds, while Sebastian scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The contest was Sebastian's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamryn Leverette, who scored eight points.
Independence's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kaylynn Bolden, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds, and Madison Harrold who scored six points along with five rebounds. Bolden scored a full 42.9% of Independence's points, the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Frontier is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. As for Independence, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
Frontier will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Foothill Tech at 4:30 p.m. on December 26th. Independence will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lancaster at 1:00 p.m. on December 27th.
