Soccer Recap: Fayette County Takes a Loss

Fayette County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Upson-Lee Knights. Justin Tran was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Fayette County's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Upson-Lee, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Fayette County has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Sandy Creek on the 18th. As for Upson-Lee, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Trinity Christian on the 18th.
