Basketball Game Preview: Hayward Farmers vs. Encinal Jets

Hayward hasn't had much luck against Encinal recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Hayward Farmers will look to defend their home court against the Encinal Jets at 6:30 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Hayward was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 43-37 to Mt. Eden.

Meanwhile, Encinal waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They really took it to the Yellowjackets for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-26 win. The Jets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 26 points or more this season.

Encinal has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Hayward, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.
