Baseball Game Preview: Thomas Jefferson Academy Jaguars vs. Bulloch Academy Gators

The Thomas Jefferson Academy Jaguars will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Bulloch Academy Gators at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Thomas Jefferson Academy is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Glenn Hills. Thomas Jefferson Academy was the clear victors by a 24-3 margin over Glenn Hills on Monday.

Luke Bazemore made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two).

In other batting news, Jacob Dixon was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Lane Watkins was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Bulloch Academy put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Augusta Christian with a sharp 10-1 victory. Ten seems to be a good number for the Gators as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
