Soccer Recap: Monterey Takes a Loss

Monterey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rancho San Juan Trailblazers. The Dores were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trailblazers earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Monterey's goal came courtesy of Sofia Custodio, who's now up to nine this season.

Monterey's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Rancho San Juan, their record now sits at 8-4-2.

Monterey wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Salinas on the 29th. As for Rancho San Juan, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Hollister on the 31st.
