Softball Recap: Lutheran's Winning Streak Snapped at 15 Games

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Lutheran couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 6-1 to the Windsor Wizards on Saturday. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their 15-game winning streak.

Annie Schroeder was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lutheran saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addie Brightman, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 23-5. As for Windsor, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 26-2.

As of now, neither Lutheran nor the Wizards have any future games scheduled.
