Softball Game Preview: Nevada Cubs vs. West Marshall Trojans

Monday just wasn't the day for Nevada's offense. They came up short against Marshalltown on Monday, falling 11-0. The Cubs just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Meanwhile, West Marshall suffered their closest defeat since July 16, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Grundy Center by a score of 5-3. The Trojans' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

West Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 21-10. As for Nevada, their loss dropped their record down to 3-18.

Nevada suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to West Marshall when the teams last played last Monday. Can the Cubs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
